Megan Biggs: Growth

Megan Biggs rushed into the woods, careful not to run too fast or too recklessly. With her gigantic new stature of over 131 feet, she did not want to do any more damage than she had already done. She fought back tears and exhaustion as she made her way through the trees, some of which succumbed to her titanic strength and fell on either side of the path her massive body was cutting through the forest.

Megan was doing her best not to think about how many magnificent pines she had felled, or the fearful faces the townspeople had shown when they saw her colossal half-naked figure. She had managed to replace her old clothes, destroyed by the “growth spurt” she had undergone that night, by a kind of humble swimwear outfit fashioned out of boat sails tied together. It was not much to look at, but at least it may keep her from suffering the humiliation of being seen naked again at this size.

Finally, Megan Biggs came to a clearing in the woods large enough for a girl her size to lie down not too awkwardly. Despondent with despair and exhaustion, Megan collapsed to the ground, not even checking what was under her.

The earth shook under the weight of the huge girl. A flock of crows took flight, and neurotic squirrels scampered as they fled through the branches. Aside from these, something else moved near Megan’s belly. So tired was she that at first she thought about ignoring her and trying to get some sleep. But the creature only got more and more agitated, and when screams of panic began to be heard muffled by the fabric of her canvas “skirt”, Megan sat up quickly — hitting her face on some branches in the process — and rushed to rescue the poor creature that had been imprisoned near her abdomen.

Feeling under the canvas, Megan’s fingers found a slippery figure that, by touch, she determined was a person. In great fear of crushing it, Megan curled her thumb and forefinger around its diminutive body and raised it up to her eyes for examination.

Between her gigantic fingers dangled the frightened figure of an auburn-haired boy, barely a few years older than her.

Megan froze. The amazement and fascination born from having a person literally in her hands for the first time in her life had taken her words away. The boy, for his part, did not seem like he was going to say anything very soon, but as Megan lazily reasoned, for was in a state of mind which delayed the rational functions of the mind to the extreme, it was still nothing but natural for him to be afraid of the giant girl holding him in her grip.

After at least half a minute of silence, Megan came to. She placed the boy, who still would not speak a word, in the palm of her hand. Once she had made sure he was safe in her hand, Megan began to speak nervously:

“I’m so sorry! I didn’t want to hurt you, it’s just that I’m so exhausted and … well … I hadn’t seen you there… and…”

The boy did not reply. In fact, he seemed startled when she began to speak. Megan decided that she should lower the tone of her voice a little so as not to hurt his tiny ears.

“Please… don’t be scared, I won’t hurt you.” Megan crossed her legs and found a comfortable position to sit on. Then she placed the boy on the ground next to her thigh.

But the moment he felt solid ground under his feet, the boy started to run. Megan reacted quickly, but her colossal hand ended up striking the ground where the boy had been three seconds ago, while he managed to disappear into the trees.

“NO!” Megan began to cry desperately. “Please come back! I need your help … And I feel so lonely … Come back … Please …”

From a safe distance, the boy, whose name was Jack, cringed as he heard the heart-breaking cry of the giantess. He had already recognized her as his new neighbor, that lovely orphan girl who had moved in with the Liddells not more than two days ago. Of course, he was scared: who would ever be prepared to meet a giant girl on a morning walk in the woods? But he believed that he should return to her side. Her grief seemed sincere, and in fact he was beginning to feel very sorry for her.

Jack reappeared in the clearing and raised his gaze to Megan’s eyes. They turned to him, flushed and wet from fatigue and crying. Still, Jack saw in them the kind of crystal blue that glimmered like the sea on summer afternoons. The girl’s gigantic but graceful form bathed in the light of the rising sun, which shone on her exposed skin, white as marble. Jack felt a stinging chill run through his chest.

Megan brought her hand close to the boy and held it close to the ground, palm up. Jack’s heart was pounding at the speed of a roaring steam engine. Pretty as the giant hand at her feet looked, he didn’t think it wise to let himself be caught by this girl, at least not yet. She seemed to understand his fears, because she lifted her hand from the ground to place it behind Jack and simply grazed his back lightly with her fingers, a grateful glance in her sapphire eyes.

“Thanks for coming back”, Megan whispered, sniffing as discreetly as her powerful nostrils would allow.

Jack tried to answer but could not. He was still scared, although now his fear shared space with wonder and pleasure. Before him loomed the most beautiful of creatures he had ever seen. If the petite stranger had already seemed pretty to him when he saw her from across the street, standing less than 6 ft. tall, Megan’s towering figure now appeared to him as nothing short of a true goddess.

The two teenagers let a few minutes of silence pass in which the words were replaced by fertile looks loaded with sympathy. Finally, Megan decided to intervene again.

“My name is Megan. Megan Biggs.”

“Jack Foster”, he said, after a few doubtful seconds. Then he seemed to suddenly remember something as he hurried to straighten his back and bow his head slightly, awkwardly. “Nice to meet you.”

Megan was surprised by this gesture and smiled sheepishly. Then she responded by bowing her head as well.

“Nice to meet you too”, her delightful smile revealed a long row of white teeth. Jack was once again awed as he looked at them. Finally, he decided to overcome his shyness and asked:

“What the hell happened to you?”

Megan’s smile disappeared instantly, and Jack wondered if he had been too impertinent. For a fleeting moment he feared that the girl was going to punish him for his recklessness, but looking at Megan’s face he saw sadness in her eyes, not anger.

“I don’t know,” Megan said, still fighting back tears. “I only know that after some high school girls laughed at me tonight, I didn’t want to go home, but rather I took refuge in a secluded corner near the port. I don’t remember much about tonight, I was just terribly ashamed, and somewhat furious, so I collasped. Then this morning I woke up naked, surrounded by shreds of cloth from what had previously been my dress, lying in the middle of a street whose traffic I myself had collapsed.”

After a small pause, she continued:

“People were looking at me. Everyone. I realized I had turned into a giantess. I tried to call for help, but much of the crowd fled in terror.”

“Only a few police officers remained at my feet. I had grown larger than any nearby building and yet I felt vulnerable, but it was probably because I was naked.”

“Now I know that maybe it was not the best thing to do, but at that moment I did not see another solution. The policemen seemed scared as rabbits and ready to shoot the first move I made. The tension was so great that I decided to flee. I left the town as quickly as possible, trying not to step on anyone or make a mess. Some policemen had fired, but fortunately bullets seem to no longer have the effect they should have on me at this size; still, I did feel something like tiny paper cuts on my skin. So, I ran into the forest, and I run in haste until I reached this clearing, and… that’s pretty much all that happened.”

When she was done, Megan kept her head lowered, her gaze fixed on the ground. Tears made their way to her face again and Jack was deeply moved. He did not want Megan to cry again if he could stop it. He had to help her. Then he had an idea.

“I want to help you, Megan”, the girl widened her eyes in surprise. “I’m going to walk you home.”

“Go back to town? But… but that will be dangerous! They will shoot at me, and even though they might not hurt me, what about you?”

“I cannot leave you here in this state, and I think we should make our neighbors understand that you are not a threat. I will talk to them and explain it to them. Besides, your aunt and uncle must be very worried.”

Megan understood that Jack was right. And she did want to see her Aunt Lois and Uncle Scott again, even if she wondered how they would react to her new size.

“Okay” she said, wiping her eyes. “Thanks, Jack.”

“No problem!” Jack replied, pleased to be able to help her.

Megan slowly and carefully rose to her feet, her head rising high, high above the lush tops of the pine trees. Standing at her feet, Jack gaped open-mouthed at the spectacle of a girl watching him from above.

Megan leaned down and reached for Jack again, palm up. This time, he diligently climbed onto it. Jack was pleasantly surprised to discover that the skin on Megan’s hand was indeed soft and comfortable, though somewhat cold to the touch, and a little moist from her tears. Megan stood up and raised her hand carrying Jack to her chest. Jack could not help staring for an instant at Megan’s beautiful bust, its precious contents barely hidden under the pieces of canvas that made up her makeshift outfit. As soon as he realized what he was doing, Jack quickly looked away, wishing with all his might that Megan hadn’t had time to notice.

“Well then…” — Megan said: “hold on tight.”

Very careful not to shake her little passenger, Megan started back down the path to the small town of Liddleford.
